The Mgagement Fair, which used to be known as New Student Welcome Day, was an event set up to keep the focus on organizations on our campus to allow them to try and recruit more members.

Over 70 organizations were outside on the North Lawn on Sept. 16 advertising and showing off what makes their organization the best.

The fair couldn’t have taken place on a more perfect day; the weather was beautiful and campus was alive. Students of all years and majors came out and took a walk along the aisles outside checking out the different organizations. There was everything you could think of from club sports, to multiple different Greek organizations, to the academic clubs. Our Sponsored Student Organizations were also out there looking for new members to join in the fun. Student Government was also in attendance handing out free t-shirts and sunglasses to all students who were registered voters. They were also helping students register to vote.

Campus Activities Board was promoting Movies on the Lawn, where they showed “The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” which took place Sept. 17. CAB also handed out air fresheners to all those who stopped by their table. Club sport teams were out showing off their stuff and recruiting more players to join some of our amazing teams. We even were able to witness a preview from the UM-Flint cheerleading squad who took some time to show off their routines.

The DJ kept the party alive and bumping just enough for us to have an international dance battle between the African Student Association and the Indian Student Association. It was a beautiful mix of culture for all the students to watch. Prizes were raffled off throughout the day for any student who attended the event. To cool everyone off, Chancellor Borrego supplied ice cream during an ice cream social.
