UM-Flint continues to host competitions despite the limitations set by COVID-19 regulations.

If you need something to look forward to once quarantine is over, look no further than the CRIM Festival of Races taking place this August.

The CrimFit Adult Training Program and UM-Flint’s Rec Center have teamed up to provide a training group to help those reach their goal of completing the CRIM race.

Beginning in May, the training sessions will be held in the Rec Center lot and are open to runners, walkers and those in between. This training should help for the ten mile, five mile and 5K races.

For those looking to sign up the cost will cover:

  • Entry voucher for two races of your choosing
  • Six free passes to UM-Flint’s Rec Center
  • Exclusive shopping specials at Bauman’s Running and Walking Shop, as well as Complete Runner
  • CrimFit running shirt
  • Free consultation with Advanced Physical Therapy Center in Grand Blanc
  • Virtual packet with coupons for local businesses

While all these offers add up to over a $300 value, students can receive it for a special rate of $50. Staff, faculty and community members can receive the deal for as low as $120 on the last Blitz Day, April 7.

Weekly training will begin Thursday, May 14 at 5:30 p.m. and will continue every Thursday until August 20. You can sign up on the CRIM website
