City of Flint adjusts operations for Good Friday with limited office closures and continued services

Flint, Michigan – City officials in Flint have announced a brief adjustment to operations as the community approaches the Good Friday holiday.

On April 3, 2026, the city’s Customer Service and Assessments departments will not be open to the public, pausing in recognition of the observance.

Despite the temporary closure of those offices, most city functions will continue without interruption. The Clio Road Service Center will remain open and available to residents throughout the day, providing an alternative location for essential services.

Those needing to handle utility bills or tax-related payments can still do so in person at the center, located at 4805 Clio Road.

City leaders emphasized that routine services will carry on as scheduled. In particular, waste collection will proceed normally, ensuring that residents will not experience delays or changes to their pickup days.

The closure is limited to just one day, with all city offices set to return to their regular schedules on Monday, April 6. Officials encourage residents to plan ahead if they need assistance from the affected departments, while reassuring the public that key services will remain accessible during the holiday.
