Flint, Michigan – Flint residents will have a chance to meet the people behind the badge when the Flint Police Department hosts its 4th annual Meet and Greet Recruitment Fair on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the back lawn of Flint City Hall, located at 1101 S. Saginaw Street. It is designed as both a community gathering and a doorway for anyone who has considered working in law enforcement.
This year’s fair will bring a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere to City Hall. Visitors can stop by food trucks, let children enjoy a bounce house, pick up freebies from the Flint Police Department and take part in activities such as a dunk tank. Police vehicles will also be on display, giving families and future applicants a closer look at the equipment officers use in their daily work. A Flint Police K9 dog is also expected to be part of the event.

While the day will offer plenty for families, recruitment remains at the center of the fair. Department representatives will be available to speak with people interested in joining the Flint Police Department. Attendees will be able to ask questions about the hiring process, learn what steps are needed to apply, schedule ride-alongs and pick up an application.
For some visitors, the event may simply be a summer afternoon downtown. For others, it could be the first step toward a new career serving Flint.
The recruitment fair is being held in partnership with GST Michigan Works!, connecting the police department’s hiring efforts with a broader workforce network. The partnership adds another layer to the event by making it easier for interested candidates to learn about available paths, expectations and next steps.

The Flint Police Department’s Meet and Greet Recruitment Fair has now become an annual opportunity for residents to see officers outside of emergency calls, traffic stops and patrols. By bringing families, job seekers and police personnel together in one open space, the department is aiming to build familiarity while also encouraging new applicants to consider public service.
The fair will take place Thursday, June 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. behind Flint City Hall at 1101 S. Saginaw Street.
