Michigan – On Thursday, the Michigan Lottery confirmed that a lottery club, consisting of three lucky people, won a whopping $6 million of scratch-off ticket. The fortunate lottery players bought the 500X Money Maker instant game, which turned into huge winnings. Per the Michigan lottery, people have won more than $90 million playing 500X Money Maker since it was launched in September 2023.

“Our lottery club has been playing together for quite a while, and we always play scratch-off games,” the club’s representative told the Lottery. “I scratched off the ticket late one night, and when I saw the prize amount of $6 million, I had to look the ticket over several times to make sure I was seeing it right.”
“I woke up my wife and said: ‘I think I just won a really big prize; you have to come look at this!’ Once my wife looked it over and confirmed what I was seeing, I knew we had really won! The next day I met with the other club members and told them the big news. It all still feels surreal,” they added.

The lucky winners choose to receive the prize as one-time lump sum
The lottery club recently visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim the big prize. They chose to receive their prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $4.1 million after taxes. With their winnings, they plan to pay off their mortgages and then save the remainder.
“It’s still hard to believe that we really won,” said a club member. “I don’t think it’s going to hit us until we see the new balance in our bank accounts!”
