Genesee County, Michigan – Halloween has taken over Crossroads Village again, turning the historic Genesee County attraction into a mix of costumes, candy, spooky surprises and old-fashioned fall fun.
And for families who missed the opening weekend, the season is far from over. Ghosts & Goodies returns for several more dates throughout October, giving visitors multiple chances to experience one of Genesee County Parks’ popular Halloween traditions.
The celebration is underway at Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad, where families can trick-or-treat throughout the Village while taking part in festive Halloween activities and encountering spooky surprises along the way.
Costumes are encouraged, and visitors are also invited to bring treat bags as they make their way around the property.
One of the major attractions is the Huckleberry Ghost Train Express, which adds a Halloween twist to the Village’s well-known railroad experience. The train ride joins the trick-or-treating and other seasonal activities as part of the broader Ghosts & Goodies event.
There are still plenty of opportunities to attend. Ghosts & Goodies is scheduled to return Oct. 9–11, Oct. 16–18, Oct. 22–25 and Oct. 29–30.
That schedule spreads the Halloween fun across much of the month, including the final days leading into Halloween itself.
Crossroads Village normally gives visitors a look at history through experiences such as rides aboard the Huckleberry Railroad, performances at the Colwell Opera House and demonstrations of traditional trades by skilled artisans. During Ghosts & Goodies, that historic setting becomes the backdrop for a distinctly different kind of visit, with Halloween decorations, treats and seasonal entertainment taking center stage.
For families planning an October outing, the remaining dates provide several chances to dress up, collect treats and experience Crossroads Village in its Halloween setting.
