Flint, Michigan – As Genesee County gets ready to open the doors of its new Administration Building in downtown Flint, people who go to the building at 324 S. Saginaw Street will have one less thing to worry about: parking.
County officials are stressing how easy it will be to park near the new location, which will have its grand opening on August 11. People can park at the Riverfront Parking Ramp, which is easy to get to from both Beach and Union Streets. The Rutherford Parking Ramp, which is right next door, is another alternative.
For those who prefer surface parking, the Flat Lot on Saginaw Street is also available. There are a lot of places to park on the street in downtown, so locals have a lot of options when they arrange their visit.
It will be just as easy to get inside the building. The primary entrance is on S. Saginaw Street, right across from the UM-Flint Pavilion. People who park in the Riverfront Parking Garage can also access the building through a back door that goes straight to the second level. This makes it easy to go from vehicle to office.
The new Genesee County Administration Building will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, starting on August 11. Updates and notifications about the move from the old building will be posted at 1836 Place and on the county’s official website, GeneseeCountyMI.gov.
As part of their promise to focus on accessibility and better service delivery, they will make sure that parking is obvious and easy to find. Visitors will find it easier than ever to get to important county services in the center of Flint, whether they drive or take public transportation.
