Flint, Michigan – The City of Flint is ready to usher in the holiday season with its annual Tree Lighting Event, a cherished tradition that brings the community together in the heart of downtown. The festive celebration will take place on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, outside Flint City Hall, where residents are invited to gather for an evening filled with warmth, reflection, and holiday cheer.
Mayor Sheldon Neeley will be joined by Flint Police Chief Terence Green and Fire Chief Theron Wiggins to preside over the lighting of three beautifully adorned trees. Alongside it, two smaller trees carry deep meaning: one illuminated in blue to honor fallen police officers and another glowing in red in remembrance of firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice.
