Genesee County, Michigan – Starting this Friday, September 20 with the high school football game, Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools has added new entrance policies in an effort to improve security and guarantee a safe environment for attendees.
With an eye toward a safe and fun experience at all school sports events, the district has set these procedures to protect staff, students, and guests. The forthcoming football game will be an important test of the success of these policies as the first big event under this new system.

One of the most important new rules is mandating that every student provide a current student ID at the door. Students may show their StudentVUE on a mobile device, use the Minga app, or show their standard ID card. This rule covers all home games held in the middle and high schools.
The district mandates that younger fans—more specifically, those in eighth grade and below—have a parent or guardian present at all times during the event. Students in high school between ninth and twelfth grade will have to show their school-issued student ID for admission.

Non-student visitors under 21 also have to provide a current driver’s license or state ID. The district has also underlined that those not registered at the participating schools have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Attendees should also be ready for possible security checks and should take note of the rigorous no re-entry policy, which forbids re-admittance once they leave the property.
Emphasizing the need of understanding these guidelines before attending the events, the district asks parents and students to cooperate since day one.
“We kindly ask for your cooperation and support in helping us enforce these rules and making sure that students and families are aware of the expectations before arriving at games,” the school district said.
This proactive approach reflects Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools’ commitment to maintaining a secure and positive atmosphere at their athletic events.
