Flint, Michigan – With a career fair meant to link prospective criminal justice professionals with possible companies and educational possibilities, Mott Community College is getting ready to open doors for them. Originally set for October 7th at the Ballenger Field House in Flint, the event offers a great networking venue for anyone looking in professions related to criminal justice and incarceration.
Assistant Vice President Marcus Matthews of MCC’s Workplace and Development Division pointed out the ongoing need in the area for qualified experts in related disciplines.
“Employers we work with have let us know they rely on Mott Community College to help supply the talent pipeline,” Matthews said to Mid-Michigan Now. This demand underlines the importance of the upcoming fair, which aims to support job seekers in making valuable connections that could lead to employment opportunities.
Apart from a chance to meet possible companies, the career fair—which will run from 3 to 6 p.m.—allows everyone to investigate future educational opportunities with representatives from 12 universities also in attendance. Over 52 law enforcement agencies will be present, looking to recruit for various roles across the sector. To maximize the networking prospects, attendees are urged to arrive ready with multiple copies of their resumes and photo identification.

Mott Community College has set up various seminars prior to the event to assist attendees in best way to prepare for the fair. These seminars focus on improving interviewing techniques and resume writing, vital skills for leaving a great impression on possible companies. The Mott Memorial Building will host the seminars on several dates—September 30th and October 2nd as well as on October 4th at the Prahl College Center.
